This home checks all of the boxes! Bay views, access to parks and bay trails, new energy-efficient construction with countless upgrades, bedrooms for extended family members, family room entertainment space and flexible "work at home" options. There truly is no need for a second home when you live here.

Enjoy spectacular marina and bay views from this gorgeous Grand Marina Village “Craftsman-style” home. One of only four homes featuring full water views from each floor, this home was featured as the model home for the development when constructed in 2010. Its prime waterfront location, stunning panoramic views, and luxurious upgrades throughout make this home a stand out. Strolling along the waterfront or relaxing on the HOA-maintained greenbelt and seating areas are just steps from your door. Several nearby neighborhood parks and children play areas are also equally close.

A grand entry featuring a colonnaded front porch greets you and your guests. Inside, the open floor plan on the main floor combines functionality with elegance. The living space consists of a living room offering spectacular views of the marina, a flexible dining area off the open kitchen, powder room, and attached garage access. Dining options include seating for four at the kitchen island, or in the dining area (seats eight), or outdoors in the private patio/lounge area.

The chef's kitchen has top-of-the-line KitchenAid stainless steel appliances that include a gas range and hood, dishwasher, side-by-side door refrigerator, and a built-in microwave oven. Cherry kitchen cabinets bring out the richness of the granite counters and upgraded backsplash/stove surround. The granite-topped center island offers additional workspace, storage, and seating for casual meals. Also included on this main level is a spacious utility/pantry closet

A dramatic, two-story open staircase leads to the second floor - three bedrooms and laundry room. Dramatic clerestory windows lighting the stairwell feature Hunter Douglas Silhouette blinds operated remotely to enjoy the views of life on the marina - palm trees, a passing seagull, or the ever-changing color of the sky each day at sunset. The spacious en suite bedroom at the top of the stairs is filled with natural light and features a balcony that offers marina views and is perfect for watching the sunset and Oakland skyline. The en-suite bath offers a Jacuzzi® jetted soaking tub, a glass-enclosed shower, and a double-sink vanity this is finished with a granite top and upgraded fixtures. A walk-in closet is spacious enough for more than one wardrobe.

Two additional generous bedrooms are on the second level as well as a guest bathroom with dual vanity and laundry room with Whirlpool Cabrio appliances and a utility sink.

A special feature of this home is the third-floor loft space. Featuring a family/entertainment room and two "work at home" office spaces (formerly the fourth bedroom). There is also a full bathroom on the loft level. The loft space features wood flooring throughout, vaulted ceilings, and beautiful views of the marina from the office space/bedroom.

Additional features include the energy efficiency of solar panels reducing the need to worry about owning a home this spacious and well-equipped. Also included is the tankless water heater for instant hot water upon demand and no more wasting energy on heating a large tank.

Alameda began as a peninsula just south of Oakland and is now an East Bay island with a laid-back feeling all its own. You will find a variety of homes and condos for sale in Alameda including cozy apartments, spacious single family homes that have been fully renovated, and gorgeous luxury mansions where no expense was spared. With more than 10,000 buildings constructed before 1930, there is a rich and varied architectural heritage in the area playing a role in Alameda's real estate market conditions. Historic Queen Anne's, more than 1,500 ornately decorated Victorians, and California Craftsmans are some of the most desirable homes here along its tree-lined streets. Although Alameda is a little off the beaten path, the city has a laid-back vibe all its own. One of the unique elements of Alameda is its population: with only 80,000 residents, the population density is less than half of San Francisco, and similar to the density found in Oakland. Alameda is incredibly walkable. When locals want to explore the various shopping, landmarks, museums, and dining, they usually head to Park Street. Start your day with a visit to the Alameda Museum. Since 1948, the museum has preserved the rich history of this unique island city and offers both locals and tourists an opportunity to learn more about the great island of Alameda. After a day at the museum, there are plenty of great restaurants to choose from, including: Monkey King Pub and Grub: Featuring a unique mix of Asian-fusion cuisine, crafty cocktails, and delicious draft beer, this is also a great happy hour hangout. La Penca Azul: A family-owned favorite for over 25 years, they are also well- known for their taco truck. Original Red Onion: If you love great, locally-sourced food in a family-friendly atmosphere, you will absolutely love this restaurant. Civic pride runs high in Alameda, and many of the city’s older buildings have been fully restored or repurposed. The Alameda Theater on Park Street was restored to its art deco glory, while the Alameda Free Library was transformed from the Carnegie Library into a multimillion-dollar showplace that earned a Silver LEED certification. Alameda is also a great place for outdoor activities. Robert W Crown Memorial State Beach is the perfect place for wind-surfing and taking a morning run near the beach. Alameda is a great place to live if you love a vibrant atmosphere with plenty of festivals and activities to enjoy. One of the trademark events in Alameda is the 4th of July Parade, which features horse-drawn carriages and truly embodies the small-town feel of Alameda. Other popular events and festivals in Downtown include a Spring Festival in May and a Classic Car Show in October. No matter the time of year, there is always something fun happening in Alameda.
